Watches that tell a story – History on the wrist.

ESINE GOLD developed the strategic framework and corporate design for the luxury brand YORK Prince of Schaumburg – Lippe. Originating from SL LLUMAR, a company specializing in car films, the ideas for the new luxury segment brand were developed under the name YORK, Prince of Schaumburg – Lippe.

For the existing brand SL LUMAR, a relaunch was developed, and simultaneously, the new “YORK” brand was established by the designer.

The design of the following visible products is based on the foundational branding developed by GESINE GOLD and utilizes the element of storytelling: Brands must tell stories.

“WATCHES THAT TELL A STORY – Made in Schaumburg York Prince zu Schaumburg-Lippe”

York Prince zu Schaumburg-Lippe continues the illustrious traditions of his family with his brand YORK, “making history wearable on the wrist.” By combining noble heritage, timeless design, gold, and established technology, YORK enters an entirely new field in the watch industry.

As part of the brand positioning, each watch series has its own distinctive story from the House of Schaumburg-Lippe and is limited to 99 pieces. For instance, the series “Fort der Lippe” recounts the historical development of Portugal’s independence under the command of Count Wilhelm zu Schaumburg-Lippe.

A sporty chronograph series draws historical reference to the achievements of Maximilian Prince zu Schaumburg-Lippe, a racing driver from the 1930s. Victories at Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans earned him the nickname “Prince Sause.”
