A new, Japanese-inspired fabric collection by designer OTTO KERN needed an external presentation.
The launch took place in the context of an already saturated market for fabric collections. Therefore, a branding concept had to be developed that stood out distinctly from the sometimes clichéd advertising campaigns.
The usual concept of presenting a “Pretty model with a scarf” was transformed in favor of an innovative and radical approach.
Photographer Christoph Morlinghaus captured the fabrics flowing in an aquarium alongside goldfish. This conveyed the idea of delicate and subtle Japanese fabrics.
Further refinement involved working with highly glossy and extremely matte finishes, resulting in a distinctive feature of the branding and the entire product presentation.
