Bei der Bar Hamburg handelt es sich um ein sehr hanseatisches Projekt. Gesine Gold wurde mit dem umfassenden Branding beauftragt.

From the outset, it was clear that this branding project was more than just a classic corporate design development. It was about creating an entirely new hospitality concept, a new world.

First and foremost, the task was to define the story, visions, and values of the brand, to narrate the grand theme around the name: Bar Hamburg and City of Hamburg. Gateway to the World. Sea, home port, sailors, feeling arrived, comfort, modernity, and tradition. Food and drinks. This distinct world became visible and experiential.

Das ganzheitliche Branding umfasste die Wort-Bildmarke, die Farbwelten, die Hausschriften, Getränke und Speisekarten, Leitsysteme und die Marke im Raum. Die 2- und 3- Dimensionalitäten der Marke inspirierten sich gegenseitig, da sie miteinander entstanden. Die Raumsituation wurde in der Fläche interpretiert und das Corporate Design beeinflusste wiederum das Raumkonzept und entstand in der Zusammenarbeit.

Bar, lounge, restaurant, and deli – later sushi bar – functioned as architecturally separate areas within a shared spatial concept. As a result, a highly distinctive project was realized, becoming a concise brand in the realm of upscale hospitality due to its clear and analytically consistent design language.

Here, guests experienced an extravagant gastronomy as a brand, through an array of subtly maritime-inspired impressions. Similar to a sea voyage. A journey through different layers. Every detail stemmed from the same spirit. Welcome aboard the home port!
